Biochemistry opens its door to sixth-formers again this Summer

A group of Summer School students

Following the success of last year's Sutton Trust Summer School*,budding scientists will once again have the opportunity to find out what studying Biochemistry in Oxford is really like when the Department takes part in the exciting new University-wide UNIQ summer school programme.

Applications are now open for the scheme which is completely free and targeted at UK state-school pupils currently in the lower sixth.

Students on the Biochemistry UNIQ summer school will enjoy a week in Oxford this July living in one of the colleges. They will study Biochemistry through a mix of lectures, tutorials, practicals and visits, and can also look forward to a varied programme of social activities.

Thirty places will be available to bright, motivated and enthusiastic sixth-formers who would like a unique insight into the Biochemistry course and life as a student in Oxford.

See
www.ox.ac.uk/uniq for full details of the programme and how to apply.
