Shabaz Mohammed wins RSC Prize

Shabaz Mohammed

Shabaz Mohammed

Dr Shabaz Mohammed has been awarded the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Joseph Black Award 2014.

The award is given to a young scientist who has excelled in the practice and teaching of analytical science.

It recognises Dr Mohammed’s seminal contributions to this field and his inventive developments in chromatographic separations and proteomic characterisation.

Dr Mohammed moved to Oxford in 2013 and is a Senior Research Fellow in the Departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry. He has pioneered proteomics technologies particularly for studying post-translational modifications of proteins, which have been widely adopted.
