The department has subscriptions to electronic publications and links to the other science libraries in Oxford.
Your first port of call when trying to find an online journal subscription should be http://tdnet.bodley.ox.ac.uk
If the above link isn't fruitful, the links and resources listed below should be of use if you are trying to locate a book or journal.
1 Using the Library Catalogue (OLIS)
OLIS, the Oxford Library Information System, contains information on the holdings of most Oxford University Libraries.
To get the best use out of OLIS, please do not shorten titles. Eg Journal of Experimental Medicine not Journal Experimental Medicine.
Click here to connect to OLIS http://www.lib.ox.ac.uk/olisOxford University Library - OLIS User Guides
2 Using OXLIP
OxLIP (Oxford Libraries Information Platform) is an interface providing access to several hundred subscriptions to bibliographic, reference and full-text databases. For licensing reasons, they are only available to members of Oxford University. Many of these products can now be accessed directly through a Web browser. A gradually decreasing proportion of the databases still use PC-based software.
Oxlip provides access to many databases including:
- Biological Abstracts
- Global Health
- Zoological Record
