Departmental Mentoring Scheme

The 2016 mentoring scheme is detailed below.

The Department of Biochemistry runs a mentoring scheme for post-doctoral researchers. The scheme has been designed following on from a pilot scheme run by the Medical Sciences divisional offices, using guidelines set out by the University’s Learning Institute and it was created to support early career scientists develop the skills needed to fulfil their potential.

The scheme uses mentoring circles to allow peer-to-peer mentoring, alongside the traditional mentor to mentee relationship. For more information on mentoring schemes please see the Learning Institute website https://www.learning.ox.ac.uk/resources/mentoring/
