Simon Newstead wins BCA Award
Associate Professor Simon Newstead has won an early career prize from the British Crystallographic Association (BCA).

His award, 'BSG Early Career Prize', comes from the Biological Structure Group of the British Crystallographic Association.
Simon is one of two winners of the prize that started last year. The award is for his discovery of the structure of the plant nitrate transporter NRT1.1 - work which was published in Nature last year (1,2).
The award was presented at the BCA's Spring Meeting in York at the beginning of April, where Simon gave a talk on his work on the POT family of peptide/nitrate transporters.
