Information About This Website
This website aims to be as accessible and standards-compliant as possible.
Any modern standards-compliant web browser should give you a very good browsing experience. The site is regularly tested with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari.
All pages within this site can be displayed as largely text-only pages by clicking the link "Print this page" situated at the right of every page. All pages can be navigated and the full text read without the need for horizontal scrolling on a monitor running at 800x600 pixels.
The University-wide accessibility statement can be viewed at www.ox.ac.uk/accessibility.
The site is based on Microsoft's active server pages technology and does utilise a "session cookie" with the single purpose of forcing pages with active date and time information to a UK format (DD/MM/YYYY) in preference to any internal settings on the web server. These server settings have been found to vary unexpectedly following software updates etc. and we feel justified in using this system to maintain clarity in the presentation of information.
This website also uses Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ('Google'), an organisation based in the United States but certified as a Safe Harbour for data protection purposes. Google Analytics uses 'cookies'. The information generated by the cookie about use of the Website (including the user's IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate the user's IP address with any other data held by Google.
