Meet the 2013 Royal Institution Lecturer and hear about iGem
Where: New Biochemistry
Come and hear about the exciting and innovative project devised during the summer by current Biochemistry undergraduates for the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGem) competition (2014.igem.org/Team:Oxford) which they will present at the finals in Boston on October 29th. Time: 11:45 - 12:15.
Meet and chat with Professor Alison Woollard, the 2013 Royal Institution Lecturer, and hear about the making of "Life Fantastic". Time 11:00 - 11:30. The lectures will be running continuously in the lecture theatre at other times.

Current undergraduates, graduates and faculty will be available for discussion, and to show off our new building.
Light refreshments will be available and all (whether Biochemistry alumni or not) are welcome - no need to register.

Are you a Biochemistry Department alumnus who would like to meet other alumni and find out about the cutting-edge research being carried out in the Department? If so, then please join us for the second Biochemistry Alumni event, to be held on Friday June 8th 2012, 4.30pm onwards.
Featuring short talks from Nobel Laureate Sir John Walker from the LMB in Cambridge, Mark Sansom, Head of the Department, and the Vice Chancellor, the event will be an opportunity to meet staff and graduate students as well as other alumni. Science talks and posters on current research will give a flavour of the exciting research being carried out in the department.
The stunning new Biochemistry building is the venue for the event, and attendees will have a chance to take a tour around this during the afternoon.
