Congratulations to Professor David Sherratt who has been selected by the Genetics Society to be awarded the 2021 Genetics Society Medal, which recognizes outstanding research contributions to genetics. Professor Anne Donaldson recommended that Professor Sherratt be considered for this prestigious award based on his contributions to transforming our understanding of how chromosomes work.
As the recipient Professor Sherratt will present the 2021 Genetics Society Medal Lecture at a special meeting of The Society to celebrate the 151st birthday of Edith Rebecca Saunders, to be held in Cambridge in October 2021.
