Undergraduate open days

Come see what life is like as part of one of Europe’s largest biochemistry departments.

Our open days give you the opportunity to get to know our community, meeting current students, staff, and researchers and discovering firsthand what studying biochemistry at the University of Oxford is like.

As well as a talk from our head of undergraduate admissions, the open days include tours of our laboratories, some practical experimental demonstrations – computational biology, microscopy, biophysical techniques, etc - and visits to several colleges. There are also a variety of different displays and stands where you can find out more about the course, explore post-study career opportunities, and learn about our department's major research areas. The biochemistry café will be open all day for refreshments and lunch.

Our 2019 open days are:

  • Wednesday 3rd July
  • Thursday 4th July
  • Friday 20th September
