Ayaka Hogg is awarded this year's Biochemical Society Undergraduate Recognition Award
The Biochemical Society Undergraduate Recognition Awards are offered to outstanding undergraduates studying a course related to biochemistry or molecular bioscience. Fourth-year student Ayaka Hogg - pictured with Associate Professor of Biochemical Education and Associate Director of Teaching and Learning at Oxford’s Department of Biochemistry, Mark Roberts - is the worthy winner of the prize for 2025.
Mark Roberts says: ‘It is wonderful to celebrate Ayaka’s achievement in winning this prize. She performed well beyond expectations in her 4th year research project so it is an absolute pleasure to be able to recognise this with the Biochemical Society’s prestigious award.’
Ayaka was nominated by her supervisor and selected by a panel. She will receive a certificate as well as a prize of free Biochemical Society membership for a year plus £50 towards training or a cash prize of £50.
