Biochemical Society Undergraduate Recognition award presented to Joshua Dickerson

Pictured here is Professor Jonathan Hodgkin presenting the Biochemical Society Undergraduate Recognition award to Joshua Dickerson on the 18th July 2019.

The remit was for the Award was:

'The Biochemical Society would like to recognise a meritorious student undertaking their Part II research project as part of their Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry Undergraduate degree.
The prize will be awarded to a student who has made a positive contribution to the development of a branch of Biochemistry. Moreover, the student may have put in extra effort into their project to enable their own research and the research of others in the laboratory to progress.'

 
Josh carried out his Part II project in the Biochemistry Department in the Garman Group, and has already published a first author paper in the July 2019 issue of the Journal of Synchrotron Radiation and also is middle author on another in the July 2019 issue of IUCrJ, reporting some of his Part II research.
