Winners of the Postgraduate Poster Symposium

Our postgraduate students make a huge contribution to the research activities of the Department. This was showcased at our annual Graduate Poster Symposium on 31 March, where 16 third- and fourth-year students presented their research to members of the Department. The posters illustrated the breadth of research carried out and prompted much lively discussion during the course of the afternoon. In his closing remarks, Professor Matthew Whitby, Director of Graduate Studies, congratulated the students on the high standard of their posters. Best poster prizes were awarded to Clelia Accalai (Brockdorff lab) and Nicolas Chen (Berks lab), and the "people's choice" prize went to Sacha Salphati (Newstead & Tucker labs). Thanks go to INTEGRA and Cell Signalling Technology for their generous support of this event, to Heather Coker, David Staunton, Clinton Lau and Jo Parker for judging the posters, and especially to Tatyana Nesterova and Dawn Gibbons for organising the event.
