Winners of the Postgraduate Poster Symposium 2024
Our postgraduate students make a huge contribution to the research activities of the Department. This was showcased at our annual Graduate Poster Symposium on 16 April, where 28 third- and fourth-year students presented their research to members of the Department. The posters illustrated the breadth of research carried out and prompted much lively discussions during the course of the afternoon. In his closing remarks, Professor Matthew Whitby, Director of Graduate Studies, congratulated the students on the high standard of their posters.
Best poster prizes were awarded to Danny Gold (Barr lab), Markússon Sigurbjörn (Newstead lab) and Zephyr Ford (Khalid lab), and the "people's choice" prize went to Yohan Arman (Zitzmann lab). Thanks go to Merck, Haier Biomedical and ThermoFisher Scientific for their generous support of this event, to Matthew Whitby, Michael Ranes, David Staunton, Clinton Lau, Peter Sarkies and Jo Parker for judging the posters, and especially to Tatyana Nesterova and Dawn Gibbons for organising the event.
