Winners of the Postgraduate Poster Symposium

Our postgraduate students make a huge contribution to the research activities of the Department. This was showcased at our annual Graduate Poster Symposium on 25 March, where 24 third- fourth-and-fifth year students presented their research to members of the Department. The posters illustrated the breadth of research carried out and prompted much lively discussions during the course of the afternoon. In his closing remarks, Professor Francis Barr, Head of Department, congratulated the students on the high standard of their posters.

Best poster prizes were awarded to Anju Kudhail (Uphoff lab), Amy Roberts (Seiradake lab) and Grant Rowley (Jansen lab). Thanks go to New England Biolabs for their generous support of this event, to Matthew Whitby, Michael Ranes, David Staunton, Jo Parker, Heather Coker, Cara Ellison, Georgina Benn and Agnes Michel for judging the posters, and especially to Jess Barnes and Dawn Gibbons for organising the event.
